We encourage all qualified applicants to explore our global positions. What We Need The Director, Game Science & Insights is a senior technical leader within the Game Science & Insights (GSI) organisation, reporting to the Senior Director, Game Science & Insights. This role focuses on proactive problem solving through causal inference, experimentation, predictive modelling and AI integration. Our data scientists act as strategic partners, turning complex business challenges into testable hypotheses, validating them through causal inference or controlled experimentation, and then scaling the successful findings into predictive models and AI systems that help the business anticipate change and address challenges before they occur. In this role you will lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, data analysts and ML practitioners across our US, Ireland and UK hubs, using sophisticated player and commercial data to understand and influence engagement, retention and monetization across our AAA and live-service franchises — directly shaping product decisions and business outcomes. The scope is significant: you will own analytical operations including recurring analysis, ad-hoc insight, experimentation and the AI/ML systems that productionise our work. This is a hands-on, deeply technical leadership position. You are expected to be fluent in — and set the standard for — the modern data and AI stack we are deploying across the business today, and to keep 2K ahead of the curve as the technology landscape evolves . Our Technical Environment You will lead delivery on, and be highly proficient across, the platform and tooling we are actively deploying: - Cloud data platforms: Snowflake and Databricks — data modelling, performance, governance at scale. - Programming & modelling: Python as the primary language for analysis, experimentation, statistical modelling and machine learning; production-grade, well-tested code. - Analytics & BI: Tableau/ Power BI for data storytelling, self-service analytics and executive-ready reporting. - AI & generative AI: Claude and other large language models applied to data science workflows, insight generation and internal tooling; broad fluency in modern AI/ML and GenAI techniques and how to apply them pragmatically and responsibly. - AI-assisted engineering: GitHub and GitHub AI (Copilot) for version control, code review and AI-accelerated development across the team. - SQL: expert-level SQL underpinning all of the above. - Project Management: Experience with project management and communication tools such as Asana, Confluence, JIRA, and Slack. What You Will Do Game Science & Insights Strategy, Prioritisation and Execution - Define the technical direction for the team — setting priorities and driving successful execution of analytics, experimentation and AI/ML projects across the product suite. - Oversee the full AI/ML development lifecycle, from research and prototyping through to scalable deployment, monitoring and iteration on Snowflake and Databricks. - Champion best practice in machine learning engineering, MLOps and cloud-native development, embedding AI-assisted tooling (Claude, GitHub AI) into how the team works. - Direct experimentation and A/B testing initiatives, and apply causal inference to pinpoint winning strategies that boost conversion and long-term player value with precision. - Establish clear expectations for the effort required to deliver different types of analysis and data requests, manage bandwidth and bottlenecks, and ensure work progresses at quality and on time. - Oversee the development of risk registers and contingency playbooks, particularly around game releases, and inform the development or licensing of key tools used by GSI. Cross-Functional Partnership and Execution - Partner with product, commercial and marketing leaders to shape intelligent, player-focused solutions grounded in evidence. - Build strong partner relationships through honest, precise and consistent communication; evaluate, triage and prioritise incoming requests against team capacity. - Transform intricate analytics into compelling, actionable guidance that empowers leadership — including the C-suite — to lead with confidence. - Amplify the 2k and central data strategy by engaging the right cross-functional partners to build scalable, impactful solutions across the business. - Communicate team plans, actions and outcomes across all levels of 2K and Take-Two leadership. Leadership and Team Building - Lead, mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, data analysts and ML/software practitioners across Dublin and London, including individual contributors, team leads and managers. - Delegate meaningful authority to technical leads and data science managers so individual teams execute with velocity and autonomy, while retaining effective day-to-day visibility. - Detail specific guidelines and expectations for how each role can make the best impact, and foster a culture of innovation, ownership and continuous improvement. - Take primary responsibility for recruiting within your organisation, and maintain a strong external network from which top talent can be drawn for strategic roles. - Align team capacity to business needs when setting and adjusting FY OKRs, and proactively anticipate and address technical, managerial and procedural gaps (such as single points of failure) before they reach crisis level. - Jump in to provide direct, hands-on support when the team gets stuck or an all-hands-on-deck data emergency arises. Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit The ideal candidate is, first and foremost, passionate about optimising great player experiences through data-driven insight, experimentation and AI. They are a highly autonomous, technically credible leader who is consistently focused on sustainably increasing productivity and efficiency. They care deeply about their team and take strong ownership of each person’s professional development. They have the team seeking the ‘Why’ and ‘So What’ insights that move the needle, anticipate oncoming issues, and devise resourceful solutions. They are articulate and polished, and are ready to engage credibly with all levels of the organisation — from data scientists to the C-suite. They also bring a proven understanding of live-service games and how live services operate across genres today. At Riot, quality is more than defect discovery. It is a set of values, practices, and behaviors that shape how we build, decide, and deliver for players. As a Principal Quality Engineer, you will own the quality approach for our teams or product spaces and operate as a senior craft leader with dev studio and business-unit level influence. This role will work closely with and adjacent to the Senior Leadership Team in Sydney, helping shape strategic quality direction across the organisation. You will help teams shift quality left through stronger test automation, better tooling, clearer standards, and practical quality strategies that improve both developer experience and player experience. You will also help teams maintain confidence in quality in a world of AI-assisted development, where new tooling and workflows are changing how software is designed, implemented, and validated. This is a full-time role, based in Sydney, Australia. Responsibilities: - Own the quality approach for teams or product areas and ensure quality activities are considered across every stage of the software development lifecycle. - Lead initiatives that shift quality left through automation, tooling, and process improvements that help engineers catch issues earlier and ship with more confidence. - Identify, create, and evolve test frameworks and automation strategies that improve speed, coverage, sustainability, and reliability release over release. - Help define and implement test approaches as part of an overall quality and test strategy. - Help shape our approach to quality in an evolving AI landscape, including how teams use AI-assisted workflows responsibly and effectively while maintaining confidence in what we ship. - Use metrics and reporting to surface quality risks, trends, and opportunities, then turn those insights into action with product and discipline leaders. - Provide craft leadership and coaching for QA and partner disciplines, strengthening test design, planning, execution, and quality decision-making. - Help define, adapt, and socialise quality standards and practices that are usable across multiple teams and scalable at product or business-unit level. - Partner with engineering, delivery, design, creative, and production leaders to diagnose product and project quality risks and recommend targeted improvements. - Contribute to growing the quality craft through hiring, mentorship, and cross-team leadership. - Work in partnership with Game and Central teams to drive strategic initiatives. Required Qualifications: - 8+ years of software quality assurance or quality engineering experience, with multiple proven product successes. - Experience defining and implementing test approaches as part of an overall test strategy. - Experience coaching QA team members on test design, planning, and execution. - Experience driving continuous improvement processes within a team or organization. - Experience leading or maturing automated testing frameworks, tools, or processes that improve sustainable development. - Experience using quality metrics, telemetry, or reporting to assess quality health and influence decisions. - Experience working effectively across disciplines and influencing teams beyond direct reporting lines. - Experience handling multiple simultaneous projects and partners - Experience tasking or partnering with remote teams and providing feedback on effectiveness. - Experience establishing product or business-unit quality standards, practices, or operating models. - History of leading strategic quality initiatives with broad organisational impact. - Strong judgment in ambiguous problem spaces, with the ability to evaluate, scope, and execute solutions with team, initiative, or business-unit impact. - Strong technical acumen, with the ability to engage deeply with engineers on systems, tooling, automation, and development workflows. - The ability to adapt quality strategy to emerging development practices, including AI-assisted workflows and automation. Desired Qualifications: - Experience in game development environments and supporting or shipping games. - Development or quality experience across multiple platforms such as mobile, console, and PC. - Familiarity with CI/CD maturity, release quality, and build or delivery workflows. - Familiarity with Unreal and/or other game engines. - Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Foundation, ISTQB Agile Tester, ISTQB Expert Level, ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, or ICAgile Test Expert. For this role, you’ll find success through: - Deep quality craft expertise and a strong point of view on how to build quality into development, not inspect it in the end. - Strong technical credibility with engineers and the ability to translate quality goals into practical technical solutions. - The ability to make a meaningful impact on how teams work and on the quality of the end product at a business-unit level. - A collaborative style that helps engineers and partner disciplines feel ownership of quality outcomes. - Decision-making that consistently prioritizes better developer workflows and better player experiences. - The ability to operate as a recognised craft expert across multiple dimensions of quality engineering. For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role! Senior Security GRC Analyst
Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences– all created by our global community of developers and creators. At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there. A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone. As a member of the Roblox Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team, you will play a key role in supporting the Security team’s mission. The GRC team is at the heart of Roblox's security organization — empowering every builder to make risk-informed decisions by establishing a portfolio of governing policies and standards, a repeatable and scalable method of assessing and quantifying risk, and a formal oversight process for GRC capabilities across Roblox. Our program takes a balanced, "right-sized" approach to security governance — combining qualitative and quantitative risk management methodologies, including Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR), to assess and prioritize the security risks that matter most to Roblox. GRC partners closely with Engineering, Legal, Finance, and leadership — including providing regular reporting to the Board of Directors and the Audit & Compliance Committee — to ensure that security risk is visible, well-understood, and actioned appropriately. The team is in an exciting phase of growth and innovation. We are using engineering to drive automation across risk management, policy lifecycle management, supply chain risk, AI risk, and controls programs. You will have the opportunity to shape how GRC operates at scale and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture that supports Roblox and the broader security organization. This position is part of the Information Security team. This role will report to the GRC Manager. You will: - Be a key contributor to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance team within the larger Information Security Organization. - Partner with your GRC, Infosec and Engineering colleagues and support the design and implementation of a “risk first” governance function that is “right-sized” for Roblox. - Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness, designing tools and automations along the way to drive security and compliance by design. - Write, revise, and manage our information security policies, standards, and procedures. - Identify and assess information security risks. You will work with Information Security and Engineering colleagues to implement appropriate controls to mitigate identified risks. You will validate control design and effectiveness. You will support ongoing risk monitoring and reporting. - Be a subject matter expert in the GRC space, providing education and guidance to others across the Roblox organization. - Be a part of the Roblox community, living our values and securing the metaverse. You have: - 4+ years of relevant professional experience in Security Governance, Risk and Compliance. - Experience interfacing with software engineers to identify risks, map commitments to controls and develop relevant policies. - Experience assessing adherence to policies and developing mitigation and remediation plans when gaps exist. - Deep understanding of risk assessment, compliance frameworks, creation of policy, and how to educate organizations on these concepts. - Understanding of security concepts and a broad range of security risks and controls. - Experience in tech; however the need to actively code is not required for the role, just the ability to interface with Engineers and quickly establish credibility. For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page . Annual Salary Range $224,310 - $271,710 USD Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted). A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone. About the role: As a Principal Software Engineer on the Communications Platform team, you'll set the technical direction for the systems that power how millions of Roblox users connect, express themselves, and communicate — across the app, in-experience, and on every device. Our platform underlies chat, direct messaging, forums, comments, and more, and it has to be fast, reliable, and safe at global scale. The technologies we operate include real-time socket messaging, streaming pipelines, search infrastructure, rich messaging systems, and the APIs that tie it all together. You Are: - Experienced: 5+ years of backend or full-stack software engineering, with demonstrated ownership of large-scale production systems. - A distributed systems thinker: Strong fundamentals in designing and operating services under real load and at global scale. - Technically versatile: Proficient in at least one server-side language (C#, Java, Go, C++) and comfortable navigating large, complex codebases. - A clear communicator: You write sharp technical specs, reason carefully about trade-offs, and make decisions that hold up over time. - An end-to-end owner: You drive projects from requirements through production, including cross-functional coordination. You don't hand off and walk away. - Product-opinionated: You proactively shape the roadmap and push for the right outcomes. You don't just execute plans. - Kind and generous: You treat colleagues with respect, assume good intent, and go out of your way to help others succeed. - An AI advocate: You actively push the boundaries of AI-assisted development for yourself and your team. - Continuously growing: You take pride in your craft and hold yourself to a high standard.
