Quest Designer (Fixed-Term Contract)
About us We are Fool's Theory, a company from Bielsko-Biała in Poland, creators of the game Seven: The Days Long Gone and The Thaumaturge. We are a collective of experienced and creative developers, who share a simple philosophy - we believe that unbridled passion and flexible processes are what makes the perfect combo for crafting great games. We are actively seeking skilled individuals to join our team to work on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past expansion, developed in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED. Sounds interesting? Responsibilities - Creating quests - from concept through design and implementation in the game engine. - Preparing and maintaining design documentation. - Planning and integrating assets required for the creation of the quests. - Closely collaborating with other departments to deliver the highest possible quality. Requirements - Experience working in the video game industry on at least one published title. - Great communication and interpersonal skills. - Understanding of interactive storytelling. - Critical thinking and analytical mind. - Proficiency with visual scripting tools. - Fluent English. Nice to have - Knowledge of visual scripting skills. - Experience with pen&paper role playing systems. Generalist Gameplay Programmer

Right now, we’re starting production on our own new project, something different from what Fool’s Theory has done so far. It’s an exciting opportunity to join us at the very start, help shape its direction, and have a real influence on what it will become. Sounds interesting? Get in touch with us! Responsibilities - Implement core gameplay mechanics: movement, actions, interactions, damage, obstacles, usable objects, player progression, combat, and balance. - Develop and implement non-gameplay mechanics such as save systems, telemetry, and heatmap tracking systems. - Work closely with the team to ensure smooth integration of gameplay features into the project. - Contribute to the overall vision of the project with a focus on gameplay feel and performance. Requirements - Proven experience as a Generalist Gameplay Programmer (minimum 3 years). - Knowledge of performance optimization (multiplayer). - C++ programming skills ( on a Regular level). - Solid experience with Unreal Engine. - Proven experience in multiplayer game development using Unreal Engine. - Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks. - Highly communicative and able to collaborate effectively with the team. - Strong problem-solving skills.
