Gameplay AI / ML Engineer
As a Gameplay AI / ML Engineer at Embark, you will be working on ARC Raiders , alongside some of the most talented people in the games industry. We believe that great games are made in creative environments, where builds are always playable, and teams can move fast and test as many ideas as possible. In close collaboration with our designers, you will create easy-to-use systems that enable us to iterate quickly and that encourage experimentation. Our AI team consists of a set of gameplay engineers, working on "classic" gameplay AI, and a set of Gameplay / ML engineers that further expand our tech in what is possible to achieve in AI for games. In this role you will work closely with both our ML team and Gameplay AI team, training, building, innovating and researching new tech that can further advance our emergent AI experience in ARC Raiders. Today for this role our focus is primarily on our ML locomotion. Backend Engineer (Infrastructure)
As a Backend Engineer at Embark, you will be responsible for the infrastructure powering The Finals and Arc Raiders. The infrastructure team has different end-to-end responsibilities, ranging from physical hardware in data centers, to building abstractions for other engineering teams, to game server allocation services running on Kubernetes. We have the autonomy to decide how we build, shape, and scale our systems to ensure low-latency, high-reliability experiences for players globally. This role offers the unique challenge of working at the intersection of low-level systems and global-scale cloud services, solving performance and networking puzzles that only emerge when millions of players interact in real-time. Our Tech stack We build a cutting-edge hybrid service (On-prem/GCP) using: - Languages: Go, Rust, C++/Unreal - Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Agones, Quilkin, Talos/Omni, Istio - Tooling: Terraform, Bazel What you’ll do - Develop new features for our Game Server allocation services. - Maintain core libraries used by all backend teams in the organization. - Maintain and evolve our infrastructure builds and CI tooling. - Architect and harden new services for production, focusing on observability and on-call readiness. - Automate workflows to ensure our services remain easy to deploy and scale. - Collaborate and communicate clearly with cross-team stakeholders. UX Designer
As a UX Designer you will be working on one of our Game Projects in a cross-disciplinary team, taking ownership for UX design of features to improve the end-user experience. You will be part of shipping new features, and balancing maintenance of existing features for live service games. To thrive in this role we think you have experience working with complex products and designing for different platforms and input methods such as PC, console or mobile. Previous experience in working with games is a plus. Example of responsibilities - Collaborate across disciplines and align stakeholders to define clear problem statements, user needs and design solutions to solve those. - Own the user experience of various features end-to-end, from defining problems and needs iterating all the way until they are in the players’ hands. - Design using user flows, wireframes and prototypes, that adhere to the game’s design system and style guides. - Work on a range of experiences, from crafting systems to character customization, based on where we can have the biggest impact. - Work proactively, identifying gaps in the user experience to inform design decisions - Consider systems before individual screens. Consider edge cases early, flexible design solutions, and aim for coherency in design choices. - Deliver and explore many possible solutions, while able to narrow down and pivot with relevant feedback. - Contribute and foster a culture of sharing and feedback on design. - Leverage the team’s combined expertise in finding the best solutions and increase the knowledge across the studio. Video Artist
As a Video Artist at Embark we have a “game first” attitude where our players are our number one priority. To us, it’s important that our trailers represent our games, and it will be part of your job to ensure that! In this role you will work heavily with gameplay material and other in-game content. As with all roles at Embark, it’s important that you are open to new ideas and creative solutions! Example of responsibilities - Record, edit and polish gameplay material. - Create in-game content, such as store front images, icons and screenshots. - End-to-end set up of cinematic scenes with the use of in-engine tools; such as camera animation, lighting, previs and post-production. - Edit and polish trailers as well as marketing materials. - Design motion graphics and video transitions. - Edit footage with post-effects and color-correction. Fullstack Engineer - Commercial Tech

2D/Screenshot Artist
As a 2D/Screenshot Artist at Embark, your role will be to present our games in the best light, crafting captivating screenshots and marketing assets that engage and excite our players. Your work will blend aesthetic mastery with technical skill, spanning Unreal Engine and Photoshop to create 2D assets for seasonal content in support of live updates in ARC Raiders and THE FINALS. Due to the versatile and cross-disciplinary nature of a 2D/Screenshot Artist, you will need to have great communication and collaboration skills. You will work with the Art Directors and Marketing Leads to craft briefs, oversee the screenshot process end to end, and will have responsibility for composition of stills, layout, lighting and rendering to deliver final images.
