Your Role As a Concept Artist at Beffio Studio, you will: - Create compelling, original, and imaginative concept designs for characters, environments, props, and assets that set the visual foundation of our projects. - Emphasize conceptual clarity, functionality, and strong storytelling in your designs, clearly communicating visual ideas through quick sketches, detailed 2D renderings, and optional 3D concepts. - Utilize artistic and technical game-dev knowledge to produce concepts aligned with production constraints and optimized for game development pipelines. - Collaborate closely with the Art Director, Producers, Supervisors, and fellow artists using Slack, Jira/Notion, and agile workflows to ensure cohesive artistic vision and timely delivery. - Adapt seamlessly to various art styles, ranging from realistic to stylized, depending on project needs. - Engage in creative problem-solving, iterating on your designs to refine aesthetics, function, and narrative integration. What We're Looking For - Experience Level: 5+ years as a Concept Artist, with proven experience on AA or AAA titles. - Portfolio: Strong portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of conceptual design, storytelling, shape language, visual problem-solving, and aesthetic versatility. - Technical Mindset: Solid understanding of technical game development considerations, optimizing concepts for real-time engines and practical asset production. - Software Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard concept art software. Skills in Blender, ZBrush, 3D Coat, or other 3D software are a significant plus. - Unreal Engine Familiarity: Experience or familiarity with Unreal Engine for conceptual development is highly desirable. - Collaboration Tools: Comfort working with Slack, Jira/Notion, and other project management and time-tracking tools. - Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills, ability to clearly articulate your creative thought process and design decisions. - Adaptability: Ability to quickly shift between artistic styles, project scopes, and creative challenges. Real-Time VFX Artist - Unreal Engine (Remote/Freelance) Beffio Studio is seeking an experienced Real-Time VFX Artist (Mid/Senior) to collaborate on high-profile AA and AAA game projects across North America, Europe, and APAC. If you’re a creative professional with over 5 years of experience working on AA/AAA titles and a passion for pushing the boundaries of visual effects in real-time engines, we want to hear from you. This is a remote, part-time freelance role, offering the flexibility to work with a diverse and passionate team dedicated to creating unforgettable gaming experiences. Your Role As a Real-Time VFX Artist, you will: • Create VFX assets using Unreal Engine 4/5 , primarily leveraging Niagara systems and Cascade, alongside the UE4/5 material editor for shader creation. • Utilize tools like EmberGen and, optionally, Houdini to craft high-quality visual effects. • Implement VFX into Unreal Engine environments with optimal performance, collaborating with team members to ensure integration aligns with project requirements. • Work closely with lighting and environment artists, graphics programmers, and level designers to achieve cohesive and immersive game visuals. • Track and present your progress via management tools, including producing preview videos and screenshots. • Contribute to the creative process with a strong sense of animation, timing, and aesthetics , delivering innovative solutions.
